Building a Future Together
At Our Place NH, we are creating more than housing. We are building a future where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) live with dignity, independence, and belonging as valued members of a vibrant community.
Our First Home in Dover
Our first residence, located at 105 Durham Rd. in Dover, will provide supportive housing for 11 adults with IDD. This milestone is just the beginning of a broader vision for the Seacoast region.
Each tenant will have a one- or two-bedroom apartment with a private kitchenette, living room and bathroom. At the heart of the home will be shared spaces — a kitchen, dining room and living area — designed for connection, friendship and community life.
The residence will be staffed around the clock by qualified care providers, with oversight from a house manager. Tenants will also receive personalized support and transportation so they can engage fully in work, recreation and everyday life in the community.
With renovations and an addition ready to begin, this first home will soon stand as a lasting solution for families who have long waited for peace of mind.
Financial Sustainability and Choice
Our approach is built on both compassion and practicality. Housing will remain financially accessible through a combination of:
Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
Section 8 housing vouchers
Medicaid-funded services through the Area Agency system
This model, proven successful by Visions Creative Housing Solutions in Enfield, NH, ensures families are not required to “buy in” to secure housing for their loved ones.
Most importantly, each tenant will receive services based on their Individual Service Agreement and will maintain free choice and autonomy in every area of life.
Just the Beginning
One home in Dover is only the start. With nearly 100 families already on our list of interested families, the need is urgent and growing. Together, we can create a network of supportive residences across the Seacoast, offering stability, dignity and community to more adults with IDD — and peace of mind to the families who love them.
