Liberty Mutual Volunteers Help Our Place NH on Clean-Up Day
A huge Thank You to the Liberty Torchbearers from Liberty Mutual Insurance who helped us with Clean-up Day on May 1st at our new property in Dover. This ambitious group of volunteers raked, chopped, pulled, loaded, swept, and shoveled their way through our long list of tasks in one morning! Cleaning up the woods behind a former daycare center, they uncovered hundreds of plastic toys, including about 50 playground balls--literally. We took many loads of junk and brush to the dump. The property looks so much better! We are so grateful for the help.

Our Place Comedy Event is a Great Success!
Doug McIntosh, Andrew Long and James Ouellette entertained the crowd with their comedy routines.
On August 25th Our Place had its first comedy event at The Brook Casino in Seabrook, New Hampshire. The Brook donates a portion of its proceeds to nonprofit organizations, so Our Place will be receiving 35% of the proceeds for the entire week. The event was well-attended with over 200 people who enjoyed the live comedy. Scamps Comedy provided four professional comedians, Dave Rattigan, Tony V, Paul Nardizzi and Mike Karsok who entertained the crowd with their hysterical stories. Our Place had three up-and-coming comedians of its own, Andrew Long, Doug McIntosh, and James Ouellette who performed their own delightful comedy routines. In conjunction with the comedy show there was an online auction with many great items donated by generous individuals and businesses. Our Place wishes to thank our sponsors for this event, Graham Tire and Auto, Port, DF Richard, Kennebunk Savings Bank, Charter Oak Capital Management, Somersworth Physical Therapy and The Airfield Cafe.
